Meet the Biz Heroes

Different by nature. Impactful on purpose.

At Biz Hero,

we believe there's a superhero in all of us. No radioactive spider bites, mysterious chemical spills, or billionaire-funded gadgets required (although we wouldn't turn down the gadgets).

Our superpowers come from the unique talents, experiences, instincts, and perspectives that make us who we are. The challenge is recognizing those powers, learning how to use them, and finding meaningful ways to put them to work.

Meet four women who embraced what made them different, challenged convention, and turned their superpowers into extraordinary impact. Because there's no universal playbook for making a difference, and that's kind of the point.

Jaquelin Mims:
NASA Pioneer & STEM Ed Advocate

The Power of Perseverance

Jacqueline Mims broke barriers as a NASA spacecraft controller and one of the women whose contributions are celebrated through the Hidden Figures legacy. She went on to inspire future generations by founding My Global STEM Academy, creating opportunities for young people to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

The Biz Hero lesson: The barriers you overcome can become pathways you create for others.

Sara Blakley:
Founder of Spanx

The Power of Thinking Differently

Sara Blakely built Spanx from an everyday frustration, despite having no traditional experience in the fashion industry. Her willingness to question the status quo helped turn a simple idea into a global brand.

The Biz Hero lesson: Sometimes your greatest advantage is not knowing how things are supposed to be done.

Reshma Saujani:
Founder of Girls Who Code

The Power of Bravery

Reshma Saujani founded Girls Who Code to challenge gender barriers in technology and encourage a generation of girls to embrace courage, curiosity, and possibility.

The Biz Hero lesson: Progress begins when we're willing to try before we're guaranteed to succeed.

Dolly Parton:
Entrepreneur & Philanthropist

The Power of Authenticity

From music and entertainment to business and philanthropy, Dolly Parton has built an extraordinary legacy while remaining unmistakably herself. Never needing to apologize for what made her happy and always providing a hand out for others.

The Biz Hero lesson: You don't have to abandon who you are to build something extraordinary.

What Makes You a Biz Hero?

You don't need a billion-dollar business, a groundbreaking invention, or a superhero origin story to make a difference.

Your experiences, ideas, values, and perspective might be exactly what someone else needs.

The question isn't just what makes you different. It's what you're going to do with it.
