From Potential to Impact: Highlighting Our Pro-Bono Jumpstart Program and First Client

Every purpose-driven organization has a story.

Every founder, every team, every project carries a vision that could transform communities, industries, or lives. But vision alone isn’t enough. Without structure, strategy, and support, even the most passionate organizations risk losing momentum or facing burnout.

At Biz Hero, we believe that people doing meaningful work sometimes just need a little backup to actually step into the hero role they’ve already earned. And one of the ways we get most in the trenches with clients is through our Strategic Growth Accelerator (currently invite only) — a 3-month, high-touch program where we help founders steady the operations side of things, spot the real opportunities hiding in plain sight, and grow with way more clarity and confidence than before. It’s kind of like… organized chaos, but in a good way.

This isn’t about theory. It’s about actionable systems, measurable wins, and sustainable growth. We work alongside leaders to tackle the critical areas of their business—operations, communications, strategy, and growth—so they can focus on the work that matters most: delivering impact.

Making Growth Accessible: The Biz Hero Jumpstart Program

We also believe financial barriers shouldn’t be the thing that stops a mission-driven organization from getting strategic support right at the moment they’re ready to really accelerate their impact. That timing matters more than people think. So we created the Biz Hero Jumpstart Program — a quarterly pro-bono initiative where each quarter we select one organization to receive the same Strategic Growth Accelerator experience our high-touch clients get, completely free. No catch, just real support when it can make the biggest difference.

Jumpstart is our way of giving back while staying mission-focused, supporting organizations that are doing incredible work but may not yet have the resources to invest in growth. It’s a reminder that potential shouldn’t wait for funding—it deserves to be nurtured now.

Spotlight: Kelly & Community Health & Wellness Collective Services

Our very first Jumpstart client in Q1 of 2026 has been someone we’ve felt genuinely lucky to work with: Kelly White, founder of Community Health & Wellness Collective Services (CHWCS) in Western North Carolina. Kelly is one of those leaders whose work is deeply rooted in lived experience — she understands the challenges her community faces because she’s walked through them herself. From becoming a teen mother in Asheville to going on to earn multiple degrees in health science, public health, and health education, she’s turned her own story into something that’s actively changing what’s possible for people around her.

Through CHWCS, Kelly expands access to health education and wellness programs across Asheville and beyond. She teaches medical field readiness courses, leads community exercise classesI, and develops culturally responsive health materials for underserved populations. Every program reflects her belief that wellness is not just taught—it’s lived.

CHWCS — or “The Collective,” as many people call it — launched in May of last year. And the momentum it’s had really speaks to Kelly’s leadership. Toward the end of 2025, she reached out to me because she was actively looking for strategic guidance to help the organization grow intentionally and sustainably, and she had “heard good things about me in the community”. That kind of initiative tells you a lot about how seriously she takes both the mission and the responsibility of leading it well, something we have seen since beginning our work together in early January.

Through the Biz Hero Jumpstart Program, we’ve been working closely with Kelly on building a funding and growth strategy that actually supports the mission long-term. That means looking beyond the usual nonprofit playbook — including developing fee-for-service opportunities, something many nonprofits overlook but that can create powerful, sustainable revenue when it’s aligned with the work. Along the way, we’ve also been strengthening the operational side (ya know spreadsheets, and things) so the organization can grow without burning itself out in the process.

Two months into our contract and the early outcomes speak for themselves:

1,000% increase in contracts and income — in just 2 months of 2026 vs. all of 2025!

Yeah. That number stopped us in our tracks a little too. But really, it proves what we already know: when strategy meets a founder already doing the work, incredible things happen. Often, the “superpower” was there all along — it just needed a little structure.

That’s what we do at Biz Hero: we help people uncover their inner superhero — the power they already carry, built from experience and grit — and give it the tools to fly.

Kelly emphasizes the difference this support has made: “Johanna’s help with grant writing has strengthened our ability to translate community impact into language that funders and the broader community can immediately understand.”

She also reflects on the confidence Biz Hero’s Jumpstart program has helped The Collective build: “From day one, she has walked with us—helping us find our voice, transform early ideas, and see the value the Collective brings to the community.” The guidance in organizing goals and creating a strategic plan, Kelly adds, has “helped us put our thoughts on paper…so we can move forward and build a stronger foundation.”

Through CHWCS, Kelly demonstrates that health equity and community impact go hand in hand. Her leadership, resilience, and vision continue to inspire everyone she serves—and with the right support, the reach of her work will only expand.

We’re only two months in, and the progress already feels incredible. Plus, we’re helping Kelly and The Collective launch a brand-new website, so check back next month to see how it all comes together — this is just the beginning of the story.

At Biz Hero, our goal is simple: help purpose-driven organizations grow into the heroes they are meant to be. Whether through our premium Strategic Growth Accelerator or our pro-bono Jumpstart Program, we provide the tools, guidance, and partnership needed to turn potential into lasting impact.

Because real growth isn’t just about numbers—it’s about people, community, and the difference you can make when you have the right support.

As always, keep building boldly!
